Today being Sunday, we all gathered for our church’s video broadcast.  It all went fairly well with the only minor disruptions being the advertising on the Youtube worship playlist and the fact that there was no Sunday school teacher.  We were blessed to be able to join multitudes of Christians around the world in this act of worship.

Church pretty much filled our time between first coffee and second coffee and second coffee flowed into lunch time.  While lunch was being made, I helped the children make bunny ears.  The bunny ears kept them busy for a short while but were a slight cause for frustration for Helen as baby Rose’s ears kept coming off and having to be put back on.

After lunch, Jethro went down for a nap and Fred took the older children downstairs for a game of Monopoly, he’s a brave man.  I put my legs up.  Helen also had her hands free and kept coming in and out of the living room saying that she was thinking of baking something.

It was however Daba that first acted on his urge to be creative in the kitchen.  He decided to make falafels.  While he got busy with that, some of us put together an obstacle course for the children in the garden.  This got everybody out into the fresh air and was obviously a good way to get the children to use up some energy.  Helen finally did make some no bake biscuits and brought them out for a snack.  After several days of claiming we were going to exercise, Helen and I ran some circuits up and down the stairs.

Meanwhile, daba was reporting that his falafels were a disaster.  In the end we did go ahead and eat them for second snack.  To be honest, you can deep fry anything and serve it with a sauce and it will be tolerable.  It was then time for the story writing challenge.  Today’s theme was “Two by Two”.  I upped my game by sourcing some images to go with my story but Caleb once again declared my story to be the worst.

We wondered what to have for supper.  Again, we considered the fact that we have been eating a lot of red meat and so we put the steak in a salad.
