On day eleven, Daba got up before anyone else and he spotted one of the pet snails drinking from the spout of Rose’s water bottle. The rest of us were grabbing our morning coffee in the kitchen by 8am, ready to tackle a new week.
After the relatively fun times and the great weather of the weekend, Monday morning brought with it bad weather and the reality that it was back to the pre-school activity programme for me. Nana and I rounded everyone up and worked through our usual programme. I had prepared a craft which I thought was quite clever, we constructed ice creams with coloured cardboard, glue and koki pens. Obviously it took me the whole weekend to cut out all the bits and pieces and the actual craft kept them busy for five minutes.
Christopher went out for supplies. Sadly, our local Spar does not have any raisons and we want to make hot cross buns. On the plus side however, they do have plenty of toilet paper which I understand is in short supply in other parts of the world.
The weather really was awful and we had to spend the day indoors. We ate roast chicken for supper and had an early night.
