We should have rounded the children up for the official programme but they seemed to be keeping themselves busy playing in the garden so we left them to it for most of the morning. The craft for the day was to make Easter egg baskets. I think that Nana made four baskets and the children dictated colour choices. It did get a little political at one point but I kept my distance.
When Jethro went down for his morning nap, I offered to take some requests from the children and follow some more Youtube drawing tutorials. I drew Greg from Diary of a Wimpy Kid and half of R2-D2 and then Jethro woke up.
Christopher went out for supplies again. He found raisons but he also came back with Woolies hot cross buns so we lost interest in making our own.
It was a beautiful sunny day once again. I saw a bird eating some of the failed bread from day eleven that the children had thrown all over the lawn on day twelve.
During quiet time, Fred watched ‘Forged by Fire’ with the kids. It’s the most boring reality show in the world where competitors compete by making swords. There are really not that many different ways to test a sword. Basically, is it sharper than the other guys sword?
We had gone four days without making a fire so it was definitely time for another braai. The evening was beautiful and the sunset, splendid. We enjoyed sundowners on the patio and let the children watch some Pepper Pig again. The highlight of the meal for me was when I thought I had eaten everything and then noticed that there was still a braai roll on my plate.
After supper, we tuned in to the live broadcast and Cyril told us we would be under lock down for an extra two weeks.
Great place for extra lock down!
