Day thirteen once again necessitated that Nana and I entertain the children for the morning.  After coffee we rounded the children up.  I can’t say that we really have a grip on the whole thing yet and we are pretty grateful once snack time comes around.

At least the weather was nice again.  I made pop corn for snack time and we went and sat out in the garden.  A spin off from the failed bread of day twelve was that we turned it into an activity that kept the children entertained for a good while.  They fed the bread to the birds.  They spread that bread to every corner of the garden.

Day twelve was Passover and we had decided to celebrate it with a meal together as a family.  Fred prepared the lamb roast for us.  The afternoon dragged on, especially since Jethro is still not napping properly.  We had another dance party but it didn’t go as well.

Later in the afternoon, Hope said that she wanted a ‘mommy date’.  Raphi jumped on the band wagon so I handed the baby to Fred and joined Helen and the girls in the back courtyard where we drank tea and ate chocolate.  The girls played some version of hide-and-seek.  I tried to suggest how they could improve on the game but they weren’t interested.

We all sat down around the table to enjoy our Passover dinner.  Daba led the proceedings and the children tried their best to sit quietly and listen.  For the actual eating part, we put them in front of the television so the adults could have an adult meal.  As we tucked into our lamb, a rendition of ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb’ blasted from the room next door.  Helen commented that the volume seemed particularly high.  Someone got up and turned it down.
